OASIS IN FOREST PARK
OASIS has been a partner of Forest Park Forever since the renovation of the Lindell Pavilion to become the Park's Visitor Center. OASIS has an office and offers a wide variety of programs in the facility and throughout the Park. Forest Park provides a special opportunity for OASIS members to study nature and science and learn in a wonderful atmosphere.
The Forest Park Forever Horticulture staff, the Naturalists, and the Des Lee Professor of Forest Park Forever have taught several classes on birding, wildflowers, butterflies and wildlife, allowing OASIS to expand their course offerings.
The Park also allows OASIS to showcase its many health programs, and it is a wonderful setting for our Tai Chi in the park and our Active Living Everyday classes. Together, Forest Park and OASIS have combined their resources to offer experiential opportunities in the Park for other organizations.
Examples of this partnership are the classes being enjoyed by the young children of Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club and OASIS as they interact in the Park. This has been a great intergenerational opportunity for both OASIS and Herbert Hoover provided by Forest Park Forever.
A complete listing of OASIS classes offered in Forest Park are listed at www.oasisnet.org/stlouis/class_search.asp
Registration for all programs is handled through Downtown OASIS, (314) 539-4555, or online at www.oasisnet.org/myoasis
