RECREATION/ACTIVITIES
  • FOREST \'for-est\ n, a dense growth of trees and underbrush covering a large tract

  • PARK \'park\ n, a piece of ground in or near a city or town kept for ornament and recreation

Since its founding in 1879, Forest Park has lived up to its corporate definition, a grove of meandering streams and lush greenery where St. Louisans came to play, picnic, walk, and be one with Mother Nature. Today the Park is vibrant with activity--both by humans and by wildlife. It is still a place to play, picnic, walk (or, more frequently today, roller-blade), and be one with Mother Nature.
