Learning Lab Classroom in the Dennis and Judith Jones VIsitor & Education Center
Ethnobotany is the study of the interaction between people and plants, often with a focus on medicinal uses. Before the advent of farming up to the present day, human cultures and societies have been shaped by our use of plants for food, fiber and medicine. If it weren’t for the domestication of wheat you would almost certainly not be reading this right now! In this class we will learn about a fascinating, multidisciplinary field and the wild diversity of insight and knowledge it has to offer.
