Birding Basics: A Bird's Eye View with Matthew Toomey, M.D. | Learning Lab | Free
Indoor, educational gathering for beginner birders of all ages. Professionals will explain bird topics relevant to the season.

Unlike humans, there are numerous species of birds. While some things are the same or similar for all birds, some species have some interesting, specialized sight adaptations. Marcel Proust said, “The real voyage of discovery consists of not seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” Throughout this program we’ll take this opportunity to leave our visions behind and see through someone else’s eyes…birds. Explore what you think you know about how birds see the earth, and learn what we know about bird’s eyes and vision.
