Hip Hop and Fashion: From the Streets to the Runway | Presented by the Saint Louis Art Museum | $15 General / $10 Members

Join SLAM on Friday, September 1 in the Museum Education Center for the latest installment in their Conversation & Cocktails series. A lively panel discussion will examine the evolution of hip-hop culture and its impact on fashion, art and ideas of black masculinity. Panelists include Rikki Byrd, writer, educator and scholar, with research interests in Black studies and fashion history, and Dr. Jeffrey Q. McCune, Jr., associate professor of African & African American Studies and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies at Washington University in St. Louis.

Tickets may be purchased or reserved in person at the Museum's Information Centers or through MetroTix or 314.534.1111. All tickets purchased through MetroTix incur a service charge; the service charge is waived for tickets purchased or reserved at the Museum. Same day tickets, if available, can be obtained on-site only.
