'Forest Park 1969' - Dennis Staffne Collection

'Forest Park 1969' - Dennis Staffne Collection

from $50.00

The year was 1969. In the age before smart phones, during the year of the Moon landing and the Woodstock Music Festival, St. Louis photographer Dennis Staffne purchased his first “serious” camera (a Nikon F) and captured life in Forest Park, which was teeming with life on the benches, at the Zoo, even in the fountains.

Decades later, Staffne — who earned his BFA and MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, worked for Obata Design in St. Louis and became a professor at Northern Michigan University — unearthed these prints for an exhibit, “Forest Park 1969,” at the SOHA Studio + Gallery in 2012.

Each poster is black and white with white matting/border. UNFRAMED images (including border) measure 19”x13”. FRAMED images are mounted in high-quality silver-colored frame that measures 20”x25”.
