Three Simple Ways You Can Show Your Love of Forest Park

Today, November 18, is the launch of Forest Park Forever’s year-end fundraising drive. I am going to keep this short and sweet for you. Forest Park may be free…but taking care of it isn’t. I have been here on staff for 18 months and I have seen first-hand the hard work and dedication each one my colleagues instill daily to make this Park the crown jewel that it is for our city and region.

I have a quick story to share with you.

Remember that one time it snowed on November 11 and we beat a record from 1911? No matter the weather, the Forest Park Forever team is personally committed to the beautification of this Park. Forest Park Forever Gardeners Danielle Owen and Austen Crim spent November 11 planting the last of the bulbs (we planted over 50,000 this year) in grass that is super sharp, on a 45-degree slope while it was hailing on them sideways. Now that is commitment.

Did you know that over 50% of Forest Park Forever’s funding comes from individual donors like you? There are three simple ways that you can donate to Forest Park Forever during our year-end fundraising drive.

1. Become a Forest Park Forever Member for as little as $5 a month ($50 one-time annual membership).

2. Make a one-time gift of any amount!

3. Create a Facebook Fundraiser and encourage others to donate to Forest Park Forever.

For Danielle’s and Austen’s love of the Park — and for your love of the Park — help us restore, maintain and sustain Forest Park now and forever. Don’t wait. Donate by December 31! Thank you in advance for your generosity.
