Join the Party Next Year by Becoming a Volunteer

On October 8, we hosted a birthday bash to celebrate 40 years of Forest Park Forever with many of the volunteers who have made our nonprofit’s work—and the incredible transformation of Forest Park—possible.

Volunteers took a break from their tireless efforts and were treated to live music from Confluence Jazz, birthday cake and the chance to connect with each other and Forest Park Forever team members in the Norman K. Probstein Golf Course Clubhouse in Forest Park. Check out the photo album from the event on our Facebook page.

Last year, 2,265 volunteers contributed 13,905 hours with an estimated financial value of more than $500,000! “Forest Park Forever could not accomplish all we do without the generous gift of time given by our volunteers every day,” says Volunteer Manager Hilary Sears. “Whether folks like digging in the dirt, interacting with Park visitors or helping out at events, we have something for everyone who wants to get involved and help support Forest Park.”

You Can Help Support Forest Park—Forever!

On June 24, we marked the 150th anniversary of Forest Park’s opening, but the gift is here for you and all visitors every day. More than 1,300 acres of paths and trails, natural areas and recreational facilities are here for everyone to enjoy every day, thanks in part to Forest Park Forever’s thoughtful and generous volunteers. Maintaining and continually improving these amenities is costly and time-consuming, and we rely on our community to help care for this shared treasure. There’s work to do and many ways you can help!
