Noon Year’s Even at the Missouri History Museum is back again with a family celebration of the new year that ends at noon—and this time we’ll have TWO giant balloon drops.

  • Countdown to the new year with balloon drops in the Grand Hall at 11am and noon!

  • Rock out to live music in our Grand Hall!

  • Make some celebratory crafts before the new year arrives.

  • Join us for a special supersized New Year–themed story time where we will learn about food traditions like Hoppin’ John, the 12 grapes, and more.

10am–11am and 11:30am–12:30pm | Live Music by FIRE DOG

Get ready to rock and ring in the new year with FIRE DOG!

10:15–10:45am and 11:15–11:45am | Step into the Story: New Year’s Foods

Learn about New Year’s food traditions in this large-scale story time.

11am and 12pm | Balloon Drops and Count-down to the New Year

We’ll have two countdowns and balloon drops this year!

Drop-in Activities, 10am–1pm

  • Visit our newest exhibit, Yours Forever: Forest Park at 150, and complete a seek-and-find using the two-story-taill illustration of the park!

  • Make a New Year’s Eve paper hat or fireworks-inspired scratch art.

  • Take a photo with the family to remember 2025 at our photo op!

  • Pick up St. Louis Magazine swag.
