10:15 a.m. | Ribbon cutting—St. Louis at Bat: 100 Moments in Baseball History
Join us for remarks and the official opening of our newest exhibit! Meet Fredbird and enjoy a performance by Harvey Lockhart and the Collective from the HEAL Center for the Arts.
10 a.m.–3:30 p.m. | Make-and-Take Crafts and Sensory Table
Show your team spirit! Make a “foam” finger to wave at a game and bobblehead of your favorite player or mascot. Explore the sights, sounds, and even the smells of historic Sportman’s Park with artifacts from the Museum’s Teaching Collection.
10:30–11 a.m. | Storytelling in the Museum: Baseball
Batter up! Families are invited to enjoy stories and songs about baseball. Guest author Paige Hulsey will read her book A Bad Day of Baseball, and Fredbird will stop by for a special visit! Following storytelling, Paige Hulsey will sign copies of her book, which will be available for purchase in the Sold on St. Louis museum shop.
12–3 p.m. | Demonstrations
Head outside to learn about and try a variety of baseball-inspired games. Swing, throw, run, and discover the many ways people have enjoyed America’s pastime!
12–3 p.m. | Vintage Baseball: Take your photo with players from the St. Louis Brown Stockings, the Lafayette Square Cyclones, and the Belleville Stags and learn about the rules of the game from long-gone decades past.
12–3 p.m. | T-Ball and Wiffle Ball Workshops: Grab a bat and a glove and get some coaching from the Principia College baseball team!
12–3 p.m. | Corkball: Join the Gateway Corkball Club to learn about a game that has been played in St. Louis’s breweries, school yards, and alleys for over a century.
12–2 p.m. | The Soundtrack of St. Louis Baseball with DJ G. Wiz
DJ G. Wiz energizes the plaza with an upbeat outdoor set, blending classic hits and modern beats in a lively celebration.
12–3 p.m. | Food Vendors
Enjoy some classic ballpark eats and drinks for purchase from The Best Wurst, MOObile, Scoops of Joy, and Urban Chestnut Brewing Company.
12–4 p.m. | St. Louis Browns Memorabilia Display
Join the St. Louis Browns Historical Society to see a special collection of memorabilia from the American League team that played in St. Louis from 1902 to 1953.
12 p.m. | Player Meet-and-Greet: Kerry Robinson
Meet former St. Louis Cardinals player and scout Kerry Robinson! Stop by for an autograph and a photo with this native St. Louisan who was the only MLB player in history to wear both jersey numbers 0 and 00.
2 p.m. | A Conversation with Ozzie Smith
Celebrate the opening of St. Louis at Bat with baseball legend Ozzie Smith in conversation with MHS Public Historian Adam Kloppe. Hear the Wizard reflect on his remarkable career, the moments that defined St. Louis baseball, and the enduring connection between the city and America’s pastime.
3 p.m. | Player Meet-and-Greet: Ozzie Smith
Stop by for a photo with Cardinals legend and Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith! Known for his dazzling defensive plays, “The Wizard of Oz” is considered one of the greatest shortstops of all time and helped lead the Cardinals to the 1982 World Series championship

2 p.m. | Author Talk—The Year St. Louis Became a Baseball Town by Terry Lemons
One hundred years ago, a legendary upset of Babe Ruth’s Yankees changed St. Louis forever. Former White House reporter and St. Louis native Terry Lemons sits down for a conversation with MHS Public Historian Adam Kloppe as they explore the Cardinals’ first World Series win and the forgotten stories that turned the city into a baseball town. Following the presentation, Terry Lemons will sign copies of his book, which will be available for purchase in the Sold on St. Louis museum shop.
3 p.m. | Player Meet-and-Greet: Matt Adams
Stop by for an autograph and a photo with former Cardinals player Matt “Big City” Adams, known for his power at the plate and memorable home runs at Busch Stadium!
