Summer Family Fun Series: Celebrate Summer at the Missouri History Museum

The Summer Family Fun Series happens every Friday in June and July (except July 3). Family-friendly activities include crafts, performances, scavenger hunts, storytelling and more. Recommended for families with children ages 2–12.

Say goodbye to summer in style with songs, stories and activities all about having fun in the sun.

Cuentos en el Museo: Verano / Summer | 10:30–11:15 a.m. | History Clubhouse

¡Uf! ¡Hace calor ahí! Entre y refrésquese con algunos cuentos sobre el verano. Phew! It’s hot out there! Come inside and cool down with some stories about summer.

Celia’s Sing-Along Dance Party | 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m. | North Lawn

Celia’s world-famous, one-woman show is a rockin’, stompin’, hollerin’ good time. Wear your dancing shoes to this all-ages party because Celia will rock your socks off!

How to Make a Book | 10 a.m.–1 p.m. | Atrium and Karen Goering Classroom

Join local children’s book authors Amanda Clark and Ian Sullivan and artist/illustrator Audrey Westcott as they share their tips, tricks, and techniques for writing books about having fun in Forest Park!

Crafts | 10 a.m.–1 p.m. | Grand Hall

Make your own ice cream “sundae,” a colorful windsock and a beautiful beaded bracelet ready for any summer outfit!

Scavenger Hunt | 10 a.m.–1 p.m. | All galleries

Find sweet stories from St. Louis history with this ice cream–and dessert-themed scavenger hunt through the Museum.
