Summer Storybook Walk with Ready Readers

Dates: June 22–July 27
Cost: Free
Location: Pathway west of Bowl Lake and east of the dinosaur replicas on the James S. McDonnell Planetarium grounds (see star on the map below)
Parking: Free, three-hour parking is available on Faulkner Drive and in the planetarium lot.
Biking: Bike racks are located at the planetarium entrance.
Transit: The MetroBus 59 Oakland route has eastbound and westbound stops nearby on Oakland Avenue.

In partnership with Ready Readers, the Forest Park Forever education team invites you to a Storybook Walk in Forest Park.

Read You've Got This! along the pathway west of Bowl Lake in eastern Forest Park (purple path on the map below). If you begin near the dinosaur replicas on the grounds of the James S. McDonnell Planetarium, carefully cross the dual recreation paths (blue and red paths on the map below) to access the Storybook Walk pathway. You also can access the path from Oakland Ave.

Individual pages of the book are posted sequentially along the path, encouraging visitors to read along while enjoying time in Forest Park! Storybook Walks are self-guided and not weather dependent.
