Teeing Up for the Trees
Golfers enjoyed a beautiful day in Forest Park, raising funds for tornado recovery and ongoing care.
Nearly a year after a tornado devastated Forest Park and nearby neighborhoods, the Young Friends of Forest Park Forever hosted our 11th annual golf tournament to support ongoing recovery that is now part of our daily care for the best city park in the country.
On Friday, May 1, players and sponsors helped us raise more than $86,000 at the only golf tournament in Forest Park that supports Forest Park!
Presented by Davey Tree Expert Company, Dowd Bennett LLP and Rung for Women, the event also was a celebration of 40 years of our nonprofit’s advocacy and care for Forest Park, which turns 150 on June 24.
Every Player Was a Champion for Forest Park
It wasn’t just a perfect day of 18 holes on Norman K. Probstein Golf Course. Attendees fueled up at a breakfast buffet and participated in on-course games and challenges—including giant pong, washers, cornhole, bocce ball and a marshmallow drive—to shorten their tee yardage. Other chances to win big included a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction for St. Louis City SC tickets, a “Best of the Lou” memberships package and more.
All proceeds will support our mission to restore and maintain the Park, and we can’t wait to hit the best course in town again next year! Save the date for Friday, May 7, 2027.
